Swedish Leaders Hail Arrival of New Israel Ship to Sweden

The people and the Government of Sweden joined today in hailing the arrival of the new Israel ship, the 10, 000 ton Jerusalem, on which a gala truncheon was served to 270 leaders of Swedish life. The ship, built in Germany under the German- Israel reparations pact, is on its way from Germany to Haifa.

Attending the luncheon, at which Dr. Chaim Yawl, Israel Ambassador to Sweden presided were Goes Shouldn’t, Minister of Communications, Mayor Carl Albert Anderson of Stockholm, representatives of the Government and Parliament, the armed forces trade, shipping and other business groups and Jewish leaders.
