The fourth successive one-year program of study at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem for American collegians was announced today by Prof. Oscar I. Janowsky, chairman of the Academic Council of the American Friends of Hebrew University.
Applications for students or recent graduates of United States of Canadian colleges and universities will be accepted through Marchlst, with the recommendation that students who wish to study at Hebrew University complete at least two years of undergraduate work before applying, Dr. Janowsky said.
Dr. Janowsky disclosed that the American students will have an opportunity to share dormitory space with Israeli students, thus enabling them to observe and study the customs and language of the country at first hand. Dormitory rooms, he said, as far as facilities will permit, will be allotted to the American students in one of the 21 new buildings already erected on the University’s new campus at Givat Ram, Jerusalem.
