Approximately $750,000 in cash was raised here last night at a national “roll call” conference called by the National Committee for Labor Israel for the Histadrut campaign in this country which has set $5,000,000 as its goal for 1958 Delegates from about 50 communities participated in the conference.
Principal speakers at the parley included Israel’s consul general Simcha Pratt; Dr. Joseph Kaplan, chairman of the U. S. Committee for the International Geophysical Year; Mayor Pinhas Rashish of Petach Tikvah; Louis Segal, member of the Jewish Agency executive, and others.
