5. 472 Jews Entered Canada As Immigrants Last Year, Government Reports

A total of 5,472 Jews entered Canada as Immigrants in 1957, according to a report released by the Department of Citizenship and Immigration. Among the newcomers were 482 from Israel, of whom 454 were Jews. From Britain came 1, 009 Jews and from the United States came 565.
