The Senate Foreign Relations Committee unanimously approved today a resolution calling for establishment of a permanent United Nations Emergency police force to keep peace in the Middle East and other trouble zones.
The resolution was sponsored by Sen, John J.Sparkman, Alabama Democrat. It would put both the Senate and House on record as favoring emergency police forces under UN auspices as “an important instrument for the maintenance of international peace and security.”
