First Conference on Jewish Oral Law Concluded in Israel

The first national conference on Oral Law has been concluded here and has been deemed so successful that it was announced that such conferences are to be held annually hereafter.

During the conference, which lasted three days, members of Parliament and representatives of settlements from all over the country donned skull caps and shared study sessions with Talmudical experts and students.

Sephardic Chief Rabbi Itzhak Nissim told the 1, 000 participants in the conference that “current confusions are due not only to lack of faith but also to lack of knowledge. “
