The White House today received word from President Eisenhower’s vacation headquarters at Newport, R. I., that the President has signed a bill providing for a national shrine for Jewish war dead.
Rep. Emanuel Caller, New York Democrat, introduced the measure, which grants U.S. Government recognition to the “Jewish War Veterans of U.S.A. National Memorial, Inc.” The shrine is located in the national headquarters building of the Jewish War Veterans organization in Washington.
