The Arab Chambers of Commerce, concluding their eighth annual meeting in Cairo last night, called for an intensification of the boycott against Israel and, at the same time, for “greater competition with Israel” in the field of international trade. In addition, the Arabs passed a resolution recommending a boycott of French products.

The non-existent state of Palestine, together with the sheikdoms of Kuwait and Bahrein, were admitted to the Federation of Arab Chambers of Commerce. All had delegations at the Afro-Asian conference of Chambers of Commerce recently, but it is expected that at next year’s session of the international parley the inclusion of Palestine will be opposed by many delegations which do not consider it a state.
