The Supreme Court of France ruled today against the former Commissioner for Jewish Affairs of the Vichy regime who had sought to recover libel damages from a newspaper which published his anti-Jewish activities under the Petain Government. The Supreme Court reversed a lower court’s decision giving Zavier Vallat the right to sue.
