A new Yiddish literary magazine, Vogshol, edited by A. Tabachnick, one of the Yiddish editors of the Jewish Telegraphic Agency, made its appearance here today as a quarterly publication devoted to reflecting modern trends in Jewish literature. The magazine contains poetry, literary essays and a short story.

In a statement signed by Mr. Tabachnick and Meir Stiker, publisher, it was emphasized that the new publication aim is to become “the loyal opposition” to the spirit of conformity prevailing in the Jewish literature today. It will maintain the highest possible standards in literature and literary criticism, and intends to appear regularly as an organ of Jewish literature and art.
