Israel Abolishes Rationing; Move Due to Increase in Local Produce

Rationing was abolished today of all edibles and consumer goods. The move was made possible by an improved supply situation, chiefly as a result of increased supplies of local produce. Many items which have never before been off the ration list will now be available at competitive prices on the open market.
