Government sources today said it was likely that King Hussein of Jordan would bring up the question of mass Eastern European Jewish immigration to Israel next month, when he meets President Eisenhower and other officals in Washington.
But no formal agenda has been arranged for the Jordanian King’s visit. The sources said their speculation was based on views communicated to the United States by the Government of Jordan regarding the dramatic rise in Israeli immigration. It was speculated here that King Hussein would seek to reassure his subjects, many of them Arab refugees. by making an independent protest on the occasion of his visit to Washington.
