Rabbi Maurice N. Eisendrath, president of the Union of American Hebrew Congregations, emerged today as one of three American clergymen nominated for honoring as “Clergy Churchman of the Year.” The two others leading the poll, conducted by “Religious Heritage of America,” are an Episcopal leader and a prominent Quaker.
