Israel’s immigration and absorption problems were among the topics touched on when Israel’s new Ambassador to Moscow, Aryeh Hare, presented his credentials to A. Koditsa, Vice President of the Soviet Union, according to a report received here today by the Foreign Ministry.

Israel circles here do not attach much political importance to the fact that the conversations went beyond the usual exchange of platitudes on such occasions. However, they consider of some significance the fact that the atmosphere was friendlier than usual in Mr. Harel’s receptions.

The credentials were presented to Mr. Koditsa because of the illness of President Voro-shilov. The references to Jewish emigration followed a general question from Mr. Koditsa who also inquired about Israel’s collectives and agricultural settlements.
