King Hussein of Jordan, in a television interview today said that the settlement of some of the Arab refugees in Arab lands might in part solve the refugee problem.

The young ruler of Jordan expressed the opinion that the immigration of Jews from Rumania to Israel does not represent an “immediate danger” to the Arab countries. He ruled out the possibility of Jordan negotiating with Israel by itself. No individual Arab state is in a position to enter into negotiations with Israel, he stated. He said the United Nations has the responsibility to try to keep the Arab-Israel borders free from complications.
