$650,000 Transmitted by Pioneer Women to Israel; Awards Announced

The aim of $650,000 was transmitted this year by the Pioneer Women to Us sister organization in Israel. Moetzet Hapoaloth. it was reported at the mid-sea*on conference of the National Board of the organization, held here.

Mrs. Chaya Surch in, president of the Pioneer Women, also reported that literary awards were made by the Hayim Greenberg Educational Fund of the organization. The Hebrew award will be given to Rahel Shazar, outstanding literary figure in Israel and Moeiaet Hapoalot leader; and the Yiddish award will be granted posthumously to Jean Jaffee, noted Yiddish newspaper woman who died recently while on a round-the-world trip.
