The National Federation of Labor, the trade-union organization sponsored by the right-wing Herut Party, has grown in its quarter of a century of existence from a membership of 35 workers to 140, 000, according to a report made today at Beersheba, where the Federation held its 25th anniversary celebration and its ninth national convention.

Menachem Beigin, leader of Herut, was the principal speaker at the meeting. Greetings were voiced before the delegates by Minister of Labor Mordechai Namir and Mayor Tuviahu of Beersheba. Both are members of the dominant Mapai Party, whereas Herut is the chief Opposition party.
