With Israel’s topmost leaders of the Government participating, thousands today mourned the late Reuven Shiloah, whose remains were laid to rest at Sanhedria Cemetery. The 50-year-old diplomat died early yesterday of a heart attack.

Prime Minister David Ben Gurion eulogized Mr. Shiloah. He praised Mr. Shiloah’s relations with diplomats and statesmen and said that Mr. Shiloah had been “of great help in strengthening Israel’s position with states throughout the world.”

The bier lay in state in the court yard of the Foreign Ministry until noon today. When the services started, Foreign Minister Golda Meir, her voice choked and tearful, delivered a eulogy. In attendance were President and Mrs. Itzhak Ben Zvi, and all of the Cabinet members who are present in Israel.
