He met with Chairman J. W. Fulbright, of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, Deputy Undersecretary of State Robert D. Murphy, and Assistant Secretaries of State Rountree and Macomber. He was accompanied by I. L. Kenen, Washington representative of the committee.
