The Synagogue Council of America, representing all Jewish religious groups in this country, today issued a statement on behalf of the American Jewish religious community, expressing grief “over the passing of the sainted Chief Rabbi of Israel.”
“His piety, his scholarship, his life rich in good deeds enshrines him in the hearts of all his people and all who were privileged to know him,” the statement emphasized.
