The Japanese scholar, Abraham Kotsuji completed his conversion to Judaism yesterday when he underwent the rite of circumcision. The surgery was performed at Sharei Zedek Hospital here, with a mohel in attendance.

His visit to Israel to undergo the ceremony of conversion was sponsored by the World Union for the Propagation of Judaism. On his return to Japan, Professor Kotsuji, who taught Hebrew to the Japanese Emperor’s brother, will set up a center under the auspices of the Union.
