United Nations observers today began investigating the murder of an Israeli shepherd, killed yesterday by Jordanians near the Israel-Jordan border. The Body was found 200 yards inside Israeli territory by a search party when the flock returned to the Yad Hannah settlement without the shepherd. Two members of the search party were wounded when the Jordanians opened fire from across the border. The Israelis returned the fire and the exchange lasted for several hours, until UN observers arrived and arranged for a cease-fire.
