Download PDF for this date

Israel is buying three new fishing vessels, each resigned and built for climate and work conditions in a different part of the world, it was reported here today.

One ship with special cooling facilities will be based at Israel’s southern port of Eilat and will fish in the Red Sea and the Indian Ocean. Another vessel, to be operated by the Israel-Japan Fishing Company, will work the Atlantic Ocean and will be specially equipped for freezing tuna. The third ship will fish off the coast of West Africa and will be equipped to manufacture and freeze fishmeal and to prepare dried fish.
