A four-month prison sentence was meted out by the district court here to a German anti-Semite found guilty of “defamation of the dead.”

Eric Tasche, 42, of this city, was tried last week, after being under bail since 1957, when he was arrested for making anti-Semitic remarks. The jury convicted him after hearing testimony that he attacked Erich Ollenhauer, chairman of the Social Democratic Party, as a “traitor,” denouncing the Social Democratic Party for its fight against anti-Semitism.

The man had stated, according to the testimony, that new concentration camps should be established in Germany “because not enough Jews have been gassed.”
