Secretary Herter Cites U.S. Constructive Moves in Arab-israel Conflict

Secretary of State Christian Herter told a press conference today that the United States now enjoys improved relations with both the United Arab Republic and Iraq.

He said the United States was doing all it could to normalize and ease tensions in the Middle East. In the Arab-Israel situation, he said, this country always made any move thought constructive. He cited discussion of the Arab refugee situation at the United Nations in New York.
