Newark, N.j., Police Probe Vandalism at Jewish Shop

Simon Fischer, operator of a butcher shop here, told police today he found a large swastika painted in red on his shop window. The words “cheap Jew” were painted under the Nazi device.

He told police he thought the vandalism was the work of Juvenile pranksters. Police began an investigation.
