Israel Autocar Firm Expands Production; Will Manufacture Sport Cars

The Autocar company of Haifa, which assembles small cars from British-made engines and an Israel-made plastic body, announced today that it would soon manufacture sport cars and light pickups.

The company, which said it was expanding existing production, reported it had a $1,500,000 backlog of orders, a considerable portion of them being from abroad, including the United States.
