Albert Schiff Elected President of Jewish National Fund of U.S.

Albert Schiff, New York industrialist, was elected president of the Jewish National Fund of America at the annual meeting of the JNF board of directors here last night. Mr. Schiff succeeds Dr. Harris J. Levine who held the office of president for ten years. Maurice Levin was named national treasurer and Mendel N. Fisher executive director and secretary. Dr, Harris J. Levine and Dr. Israel N. Goldstein were elected honorary presidents.

Mr. Schiff, who was born in Lithuania in 1893, has been prominent in the American Zionist movement for many years, serving as national treasurer of the Zionist Organization of America and as treasurer, chairman of the finance committee and member of the board of directors of the Jewish National Fund. He is also a member of the board of directors of the Palestine Economic Corporation of New York and of the board of governors of the Israel Bond Organization.
