The Bank of Israel will issue the first gold coin to be legal tender in Israel. It will have a nominal value of 20 Israeli pounds, will contain the same amount of gold as the British sovereign, and will sell for $20.
One side of the coin will show the head of the late Theodor Herzl, father of political Zionism. A menorah will appear on the reverse.
