NEW YORK (Jul. 5)
Plans for construction of a $3, 000, 000 classroom and administration building for Yeshiva University were announced here by Dr. Samuel Belkin, president of the university. The five-story structure to be built on the Washington Heights campus, will initiate the first stage of the $30, 000, 000 university development program announced last November.
The new building will include 35 classrooms, lecture halls, conference rooms, lounges and administrative offices. Two other buildings scheduled for the university’s main campus are a new gymnasium and recreation center and a second dormitory. The total cost for the three buildings is expected to exceed $6, 000,000. A second Yeshiva University campus is projected for New York’s midtown West Side area.
