Presidents’ Club Head, Prime Minister in Three -hour Meeting

Label A. Katz, B’nai B’rith president and chairman of the Presidents’ Club of major American Jewish organizations, met today for more than three hours with Prime Minister David Ben-Gurion. The American Jewish leader was invited by the Prime Minister after becoming chairman of the Presidents’ Club.

The importance of the Presidents’ Club framework for coordination of activities in the American Jewish community for Israel was stressed by the Prime Minister. Most of the meeting was devoted to the problem of Jewish education outside of Israel, particularly in the United States.

Mr. Katz gave the Prime Minister a briefing on the Paris World Conference on Jewish Education which was held in Paris last week. He also told the Prime Minister that excellent results had developed from the first B’nai B’rith convention held in Israel last year. Mr.Katz was scheduled to leave tomorrow for the United States.
