A group of Jews has been arrested near Tetuan by the Moroccan authorities on suspicion of wanting to emigrate to Israel, it was reported here today by the usually well-informed French daily, Le Monde. They were freed from detention several days ago without having been presented before any court.

The paper said that the group, which included two foreigners whose nationality was not disclosed, was arrested in July and detained for one month during which they were severely beaten during questioning.
