West Germany is now Israel’s third largest customer, bowing only to Great Britain and the United States as an importer from Israel, the Israel Trade Mission told a press conference here today.
Israel’s exports to West Germany in 1959 amounted to $16,960,000. In the first three months of this year, the amount was $11,650,000 as compared to $8,250,000 in 1959. Mission spokesmen estimated that by 1965, Israel deliveries to West Germany will average $20,000,000 a year and the total trade volume between the two countries will reach the $50,000,000 mark.
