The Federal Republic of Germany has sent three physicians to New York to examine claimants for compensation as victims of nazism, it was announced here today by Moses I. Socachevsky, president of the Committee of Nazi Victims Deprived of Justice and Compensation by the German Medical Service.
Until now, according to Mr. Socachevsky, final determination of medical claims by the Nazi victims has been made by “desk physicians” in Germany, with the result that too many claims were denied. West Germany’s Chancellor, Dr. Konrad Adenauer, promised Mr. Socachevsky in an interview here last March, to correct that situation.
The leader of the victims of nazism declared, however, that still other steps must be taken by West German officials to speed the processing of Just claims by persecutees entitled to compensation.
