A Manchester magistrate imposed a four-month jail sentence today on a Salford painter who beat up a fellow passenger in a bus, when the latter objected to his expression of Nazi sentiments.

According to evidence heard in the court, Eric Hollingsworth, 30, disturbed his fellow-passengers on a bus by shouting his agreement with the “principles” of Adolf Eichmann, Nazi extermination chief now awaiting trial in Israel. When one passenger protested, Hollingsworth attacked him.
