The Government today introduced into the Knesset, Israel’s Parliament, an amendment to the Travel Tax Law which now limits the tax on travel abroad to not more than 100 percent of the price of the ticket. If the amendment is adopted, the Treasury will be empowered to fix higher taxes on travel abroad by Israelis.
