The Protestant church in West Germany asked Germans today not to close their eyes and ears to the expected revelations of the coming trial in Israel of Gestapo leader Adolf Eichmann on charges of mass murder of Jews.

The synod, or parliament, of the all-German Evangelical church, accepted a declaration of attitude toward the Eichmann trial.

The trial will confront the Germans anew with the historic facts of the Nazi era the resolution said.
