Shimshon Yunichman, 54-year-old Herut deputy in the Knesset, Israel’s Parliament, was found dead today in his hotel room, victim of a heart attack.

Born in Rovno; Poland, he was graduated as a doctor from Prague University and was for many years a central figure in the Revisionist movement. He came to Palestine in 1935 and became Betar commander in northern Israel. In 1944 the British Mandatory Government deported him for two years to Sudan and Eritrea.

He suffered a heart attack a year ago but apparently had recovered fully. He was the principal opposition speaker last night in the foreign affairs debate in the Knesset.
