More than a dozen star Jewish athletes have submitted applications to be on the United States Maccabiah Team which will compete in the VI Maccabiah games in Israel next fall, according to the United States Committee for Sports in Israel.
Applicants include swimmers, divers, gymnastic stars, tennis players and wrestlers. There are two women swimmers among the applicants.
