Professor Fritz Feigl, noted scientist and president of the Confederation of Jewish Communities of Brazil, was guest of honor at a luncheon today given by Correio de Manha, the country’s second largest newspaper, on the occasion of Prof. Feigl’s election to the Swedish Academy of Science in Goteborg.
In reply to congratulatory remarks by prominent personalities attending the luncheon, Prof. Feigl said that he had devoted his life to chemical research and Jewish communal work. Prof. Feigl has also been named an honorary professor at the University of Vienna and has been invited to preside at an international symposium for scientists to be held next month in Budapest.
