TELAVIV (Jun. 14)
The scramble for voter support by Israel’s political parties for the August 15 elections for a new Parliament will get underway officially on Friday when the parties will plaster Israel’s public display boards with thousands of leaflets and posters.
For two months, the country’s nine parties will hammer away at the electorate, with special attention to independent and uncommitted voters. One of the features will be the first campaign by the new Liberal party, formed by an amalgamation of the General Zionists and the Progressives.
