Funeral services were held here today for Mrs. Goldie Miriam Schwartz, the mother of Dr. Joseph J. Schwartz, executive vice-president of the Israel Bond Organization. Mrs. Schwartz died yesterday at the age of 90. Interment will be in Jerusalem, Israel.
Mrs. Schwartz was active in the Mizrachi Women’s Organization. Together with her husband, the late Rabbi Abram N. Schwartz, she founded the first Jewish day school in the United States outside of New York–the Yeshiva Chofetz Chaim, in Baltimore.
