The Liquor License Board announced today revision of the Liquor License Act to permit the serving of liquor on a Sunday in a religious institution of a denomination that does not observe Sunday as its Sabbath. Under the amended regulation, liquor may be served in these institutions at religious functions, including weddings and confirmations. The amendment eliminates previous question as to the legality of serving liquor at Sunday weddings and confirmations in Ontario synagogues.
