A plan to launch a nationwide campaign to persuade American Jews that the “so-called ‘three wings of Judaism’ idea is a dangerous falsification of Jewish religious beliefs” was approved yesterday at the closing session of the 39th annual convention of the ultra-Orthodox Agudath Israel of America.

The plan is based on the premise, the delegates said, that “Orthodoxy has the sole right to the concept of Judaism.” Other resolutions expressed support of the policies of Agudath Israel in current negotiations for a new coalition Government in Israel; urged an increase of Agudath Israel’s efforts to obtain public backing for Federal aid to Hebrew day schools in this country; recommended expansion of the organization’s programs in Israel, and special rescue activities for Jews in danger areas overseas.
