JERUSALEM (Nov. 7)
Two torches, kindled at the Mount Herzl Military Cemetery here, were flown to the United States today to represent Israel at Armistice Day ceremonies next Saturday at Arlington National Cemetery, near Washington, D. C. and at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Glendale, California. Israel is one of six nations asked to send torches to ceremonies commemorating American war dead.
At special torch-kindling ceremonies here, an honor guard stood at attention while representatives of the Armed Forces and the Israel Veterans Association laid wreaths on the memorial. Psalms and the kaddish were recited by an Army officer.
