A four-week strike by diamond workers was ended today; The employers in the diamond industry consented to a six percent wage increase, and the diamond workers returned to work this morning.

A general strike of engineers, architects, chemists and agricultural specialists may commence Tuesday, it was announced today after a committee representing the engineers turned down a proposal by Histadrut, the Israel Federation of Labor, calling for a study of the wage demands.
