The goal of the 1962 Jewish Welfare Fund Campaign here has been set at $6, 011, 000, it was announced today by M. E. Glass, president of the Jewish Community Federation. The figure was set at a meeting of the board of trustees this week; Last year’s campaign raised $5,431, 680, the greatest amount in the 58-year history of the Federation.
The Special Gifts section of the Jewish Welfare Fund Appeal will be headed by the veteran campaign leader Edward Ginsberg. This section solicits larger contributions to the Jewish Welfare Fund Appeal in advance of the official campaign period. Mr. Ginsberg headed last year’s Jewish Welfare Fund campaign that raised the record sum and he was chairman of the 1960 drive.
