The Israel prizes, awarded annually in connection with Independence Day, valued at 2,000 pounds ($666) each, went this year to Joseph Bentwich, Dr. Zvi Saliternik, Hanoch Yallon, Arya Sharon, Professor Lev and Yitzhak Kannen for outstanding achievement in education, medicine, Judaica, architecture, exact sciences, social science and law.
