A call for a world-wide congress of all General Zionists, with the participation of the Liberal Party of Israel, for purposes of unification, was issued here today by the presidium of the Latin American Confederation of General Zionists affiliated with the group headed by Dr. Emanual Neumann. A statement issued by the presidium declared:

“We reiterate that there exists no ideological basis which could justify separation in the ranks of General Zionists. This separation causes weakening of activity and influences the achievement of our important tasks negatively. Therefore, the presidium asks full compliance with former resolutions tending toward the unification of General Zionist forces soon. Unification should base itself on full identification with the Liberal Party of Israel.

“Considering that regrettably, until now, unification has not been realized, the presidium requests that a world congress be held, with the participation of the Liberal Party of Israel, and that all General Zionist organizations in the world, which wish sincere and unconditional unity, participate.”
