Auction of Famous Paintings Today to Aid Jerusalem Museum of Art

Twenty-three paintings, drawings and sculptures will be auctioned off tomorrow afternoon at the Parke-Bernet Galleries here to provide funds for construction of the new Jerusalem Museum of Art.

The items to be sold are gifts to the America-Israel Cultural Foundation and include works by Matisse, Chagall, Renoir, Kolbe. Degas Vuillard and Roualt. Ogden Reid, former Ambassador to Israel, and Mrs. Reid head the sponsors’ committee of the art auction.
